EXPERIENCE
Ms. Lim Hooi Chin obtained her LL.B (Hons) degree from the University of London and began her career as a Paralegal at Gibb & Co. in September 2011, where she developed comprehensive expertise in legal and corporate matters. Her foundational years in legal practice provided her with a thorough understanding of corporate law and regulatory frameworks.
Between 2022 and 2024, she expanded her professional experience in the oil and gas industry, serving as a Senior Executive with primary focus on governance, compliance and operational support. Her responsibilities encompassed reviewing and drafting various commercial agreements, managing statutory licence renewals and overseeing trademark portfolio management. This industry experience enhanced her understanding of complex regulatory environments and corporate operations across different sectors.
As a qualified Chartered Secretary, Lim brings extensive hands-on experience in corporate governance, regulatory compliance and legal documentation. Her diverse background spanning legal practice and corporate industry provides her with valuable insights into both theoretical legal principles and practical business applications.
Lim maintains her professional credentials as an Associate Member of both the Chartered Governance Institute and the Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (MAICSA). She is also a registered Company Secretary with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM), ensuring her qualifications meet the highest professional standards for corporate secretarial practice.
Her unique combination of legal training, industry experience and chartered secretary qualifications positions her to provide comprehensive corporate secretarial services and governance advisory to clients across various business sectors.
Scope of Work
Company incorporation and compliance with the Companies Act 2016
- Preparation and filing of board and shareholders’ resolutions
- Organisation and documentation of directors’ and general meetings
- Maintenance of statutory registers and corporate records
- Corporate governance advisory and implementation of best practices
- Liaison with regulatory authorities such as the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) and other relevant bodies
- Compliance management and monitoring of statutory obligations
