Mr. Kenn Lee Wei Tiong began his legal career completing his pupillage at Gibb & Co. and was retained as an Associate before pursuing his practice at another firm. He has now rejoined his former colleagues who transitioned from Gibb & Co. to Azhar & Goh, where he serves as Head of Real Estate & Conveyancing Practice, bringing valuable external experience to complement his foundational training.

Kenn has developed comprehensive expertise across the full spectrum of real estate matters, including advisory work on complex real estate transactions, property development projects and construction agreements for both residential and commercial developments. His practice extends to asset management where he works closely with developers and their project teams on sophisticated project structuring and navigating complex regulatory approval processes.

In his role coordinating major real estate transactions, Kenn regularly leads multi-disciplinary teams involving lawyers, consultants, contractors and other advisory parties. His leadership ensures seamless coordination and efficient transaction execution, particularly in complex development projects requiring multiple stakeholder management.

Kenn brings a pragmatic, solutions-focussed approach to each matter, maintaining strong commitment to understanding clients’ commercial objectives while delivering clear, strategic legal advice that balances legal requirements with business realities. His practical experience enables him to anticipate potential issues and structure transactions to minimise risks while achieving client goals.

As part of the Dispute Resolution team, Kenn handles construction-related litigation with particular expertise in contentious matters involving payment disputes, construction defects, project delays and contract termination issues. His experience spans both court proceedings and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, including adjudication under the Construction Industry Payment and Adjudication Act 2012 (CIPAA 2012) and arbitration proceedings. He is well-versed in standard form contracts including PAM Contract and regularly provides strategic advice on risk allocation and claims management.

Kenn’s fluency in both English and Chinese enables him to serve a diverse client base and facilitates effective communication in Malaysia’s multi-lingual business environment.
